third time's a charm, no?

back for more

many months have passed since my last cleanse. even a new year. all of the indications that i should go on another are present: i'm feeling lethargic, slower, my thinking feels cloudy, i'm eating too much, haven't been exercising regularly and... i'm feeling heavier - even my loose clothes aren't loose anymore!

so it is time for another cleanse. i had it planned out so well. i scheduled it to start just after my wife left for an international trip and before i got busy with work. at that point, i had 11 full days to start, stop and recover. however (you knew it wouldn't be that easy), dinner plans came up that i really wanted to keep, on what was to be my third day. i could've started that next day, but i had stayed out too late to get to the store to buy the necessary items the night before. also i was feeling a bit hungover. am i supposed to refuse free pints?! the next day was the logical choice, right up until i looked in the fridge and saw a lot of food that wouldn't last the duration of the cleanse. it was mostly fruit and veggies, so i reasoned that i should eat as much of the remaining quantities as i could. this of course meant putting off the cleanse one more day.

without further adieu

day one is going fine. i persuaded my employer to allow me to work from home. i had all of the materials with me and a good excuse - snow. drinking the salt water went as well as i remembered - yuck! the corresponding trip wasn't fun either, but i'll spare you the details. however, the taste of lemonade mix was familiar and nice. i went a little easy on the cayenne for the first batch, but won't be so merciful on the next (lunch!). that's all i have for now. i need to get back to work!
